Description
The ARA-244 antenna series are the smallest, sturdiest, lightest, most powerful, and rugged handheld Ultra High Frequency (UHF) and Mobile User Objective System (MUOS) SATCOM antennas available to the warfighter today.
ARA developed the best miniature Tactile Satellite (TACSAT) antenna to satisfy the needs and requirements of the Special Operations Force (SOF) communicators of the Army Special Forces.
The ARA-244 incorporates a quick detachable connect system that allows operators to easily attach a selection of interchangeable accessories like folding grips, tripods, ground spikes, and magnetic mounts. Also, the main body is built to IP68 specifications and has a unique design that eliminates binding, reduces internal wiring, and prevents accidental opening.
Primarily designed for use with the AN/PRC-155, ANPRC-158, AN/ PRC-117F, and AN/PRC-117G radios on the MUOS constellation, ARA-244 can function with the PSC-5D, MBITR, JEM, MBITR2, and PRC-152A, or any radio capable of operating on the legacy UHF satellite constellation.
