ARA Appoints Frank Morgan as Chief Operating Officer to Drive Innovation and Operational Excellence

Antenna Research Associates (“ARA”), a leading provider of advanced antenna and RF systems for defense and industrial applications, announced today that Frank Morgan has joined as Chief Operating Officer. Morgan will oversee company-wide operations, including manufacturing, supply chain, quality, engineering, and program management, while supporting strategic growth initiatives and integration efforts.
“Frank’s extensive track record driving transformation in defense electronics businesses positions him well to support ARA’s continued evolution as a scaled C5ISR platform and a trusted partner supporting customers in increasingly complex mission environments,” said Logen Thiran, Chief Executive Officer of ARA. “Frank is a seasoned leader who is strongly qualified to align our manufacturing and delivery teams with industry-leading operational practices to accelerate the next phase of ARA’s growth. His commitment to operational excellence and innovation is strongly aligned with ARA’s long-term vision.”
Morgan brings over three decades of experience scaling and transforming defense electronics and industrial businesses. Most recently, he served as Chief Operating Officer at Voyager Technologies (NYSE:VOYG), where he was a key member of the leadership team that drove the company’s growth and successful public offering in 2025. In his previous roles as Vice President and General Manager at L3 Harris, and earlier as Vice President and General Manager at Smiths Group, Morgan managed business units spanning multiple sectors and led strategic initiatives that drove revenue growth and operational improvement.
Morgan holds an M.B.A from Trinity College Dublin and a B.S. in Business from University College Dublin.
As COO, Morgan will play a critical role in executing ARA’s long-term growth plan and guiding the organization through its next phase of expansion. He will implement key initiatives that optimize performance and efficiency while driving scale by supporting acquisitions and embedding a disciplined operating cadence.
“I’m pleased to join ARA at a pivotal moment in the company’s evolution,” said Morgan. “I look forward to shaping a strategy and operating model that will support ARA’s continued growth as demand for advanced C5ISR capabilities continues to accelerate across defense and national security markets.”
This hire follows OceanSound Partners’ strategic investment in ARA in October 2024, as well as the company’s exceptional growth over the last few years.
